Music has always been a big part of my life. Playing it, listening to it, watching it created live in concert… I’ve seen a couple hundred different bands in concert over the last few years. Been playing drums since 1999 and hope to record an album with friends someday.
- Check out who I’m “Currently Listening To” on the right side.
- There are some live concert videos on my YouTube channel.
- I’m keeping track of the bands I’ve seen live over the years.

- “This World” by Caedmon’s Call
There’s tarnish on the golden ruleAnd I want to jump from this ship of fools
Show me a place where hope is young
And a people who are not afraid to love
This world has nothing for me
And this world has everything
All that I could want
And nothing that I need
This world is making me drunk
On the spirits of fear
So when he says, “Who will go?”
I am nowhere near
And the least of these
Looking like criminals to me
So I leave Christ on the street
This world has held my hand
And has led me into intolerance
But now I’m waking up
And now I’m breaking up
And now I’m making up for lost time
-
- “Albertine” by Brooke Fraser
I am sitting stillI think of Angelique
her mothers voice over me
And the bullets in the wall where it fell silent
And on a thousandth hill, I think of Albertine
there in her eyes what I don’t see with my own
Rwanda
Now that I have seen, I am responsible
Faith without deeds is dead
now that I have held you in my own arms, I cannot let go till you are
I am on a plane across a distant sea
But I carry you in me
and the dust on, the dust on, the dust on my feet
Rwanda
I will tell the world, I will tell them where I’ve been
I will keep my word
I will tell them Albertine
I am on a stage, a thousand eyes on me
I will tell them, Albertine
I will tell them, Albertine

- “Rich Young Ruler” by Derek Webb
Poverty is so hard to seeWhen it’s only on your tv and twenty miles across town
Where we’re all living so good
That we moved out of Jesus’ neighborhood
Where he’s hungry and not feeling so good
From going through our trash
He says, more than just your cash and coin
I want your time, I want your voice
I want the things you just can’t give me
So what must we do
Here in the west we want to follow you
We speak the language and we keep all the rules
Even a few we made up
Come on and follow me
But sell your house, sell your suv
Sell your stocks, sell your security
And give it to the poor
What is this, hey what’s the deal
I don’t sleep around and I don’t steal
I want the things you just can’t give me
Because what you do to the least of these
My brother’s, you have done it to me
Because I want the things you just can’t give me
-
- “Tears of the Saints” by Leeland
There are many prodigal sonsOn our city streets they run
Searching for shelter
There are homes broken down
People’s hopes have fallen to the ground
From failures
This is an emergency
There are tears from the saints
For the lost and unsaved
We’re crying for them come back home
And all your children will stretch out their hands
And pick up the crippled man
Father, we will lead them home
There are schools full of hatred
Even churches have forsaken
Love and mercy
May we see this generation
In its state of desperation
For Your glory
Sinner, reach out your hands
Children, in Christ you stand
-
- “I Never Wanted” by As I Lay Dying
I never wantedAnd I never cared before
Now take it all back
This is a new day
How I long to regress
To the days before I took upon myself
The obsessions of this world
A day of innocence equating beauty
For tomorrow may fall
And today is already gone
Now take it back
This is a new day
I’ve grown tired of chasing
Convinced I was in need
And now the years I’ve spent
Only a slave to this
Tomorrow may fall
And today is already gone
I will no longer adore
These things that will never satisfy me
I have seen my world change
And then go back to where it came
In this vicious circle
We are all brought back to life
Only to die again
But without these barren obsessions
I am simply free
-
- “Forty Hour Increments” by Two Thirty Eight
Save yourself or you’ll be murderedin forty hour increments,
I’m certain that the evidence will shock you.
Subsequently they’ll fill your chair,
forgetting of your sitting there.
Quickly they’ll fill your chair,
forgetting of your sitting there.
Don’t be afraid to pack your things
and leave the comfort money brings,
and find your own way out of here alone.
‘Cause we’re all homeless anyway,
we’re searching in so many ways.
I do believe there is a place for us.

- “Asleep in the Light” by Keith Green
Do you see, do you see
All the people sinking down
Don’t you care, don’t you care
Are you gonna let them drownHow can you be so numb
Not to care if they come
You close your eyes
And pretend the job’s done“Oh bless me Lord, bless me Lord”
You know it’s all I ever hear
No one aches, no one hurts
No one even sheds one tearBut He cries, He weeps, He bleeds
And He cares for your needs
And you just lay back
And keep soaking it in,
Oh, can’t you see it’s such a sin?Cause He brings people to you door,
And you turn them away
As you smile and say,
“God bless you, be at peace”
And all heaven just weeps
Cause Jesus came to you door
You’ve left him out on the streetsOpen up open up
And give yourself away
You see the need, you hear the cries
So how can you delayGod’s calling and you’re the one
But like Jonah you run
He’s told you to speak
But you keep holding it in,
Oh can’t you see it’s such a sin?The world is sleeping in the dark
That the church just can’t fight
Cause it’s asleep in the light
How can you be so dead
When you’ve been so well fed
Jesus rose from the grave
And you, you can’t even get out of bedOh, Jesus rose from the dead
Come on, get out of your bedHow can you be so numb
Not to care if they come
You close your eyes
And pretend the job’s done
You close your eyes
And pretend the job’s doneDon’t close your eyes
Don’t pretend the jobs done
Come away, come away, come away with Me my love,
Come away, from this mess, come away with Me, my love.-
