I don't know a lot about Brian specifically, but Sonny is one of the founders, and his faith is rock solid. Of course we shouldn't glorify these men and women and put them up on a pedestal, shouting, "Look who we've got!" at the world, but we also shouldn't discard them completely in an attempt to avoid idolatry, because their positions in the industry can facilitate reaching a culture which is largely ignored and unreached—the culture from which Brian Welch, Sonny Sandoval, and Lacey Mosley all emerged at the beckon of Jesus Christ.
